Pennsylvania, January 30, 2013 /Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Barbara Jean Keller has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in academia.

For 42 years, Barbara Jean Keller conducted research in the higher education industry. Before her retirement in 2000, she worked as a research assistant at Temple University School of Medicine for 31 years. There, she planned and executed biochemical experiments. Drawing on her educational background, which includes a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, she became an expert in microbiology and biochemistry. Ms. Keller is regarded as an expert in her field and someone who is regularly sought after for advice and collaboration.

Recognized for decades of invaluable contributions to the field of academia, Ms. Keller has been honored with various awards and distinctions throughout the years. From 2009 to 2012, she was honored by Worldwide Who's Who as a lifetime member, Professional of the Year, Top Female Executive, and Elite American. Ms. Keller feels her acclaim and unparalleled success can be attributed to her unwavering passion for learning.

Ms. Keller feels her greatest career achievement was witnessing students, who had previous been struggling, begin to excel. Her role model, and the person she would most like to have lunch with, is Mary McCloud Bethune, who founded a college on $2.50. Inspired by Ms. McCloud Bethune's credibility as an amazing educator and orator, Ms. Keller has become involved with the Christian Stronghold Church as a teacher, tutor, and director of the Educational Services Ministry and choir member. She is also charitably involved with Save the Children. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, playing tennis, knitting, sewing and crocheting.
