Barbara Tobiassen Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Educational Consulting

    PARAMUS, NJ, February 08, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Tobiassen has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Over the course of four decades, Ms. Tobiassen has been an educator, a volunteer, a consultant and a project manager. Having managed various responsibilities in her career, she excels today as the director of Zelcowa, Inc., an all-volunteer nonprofit organization whose purpose is to help fund and support the education of needy students in the US and Ghana. Previously, Ms. Tobiassen came to prominence as a programmer and analyst for Grand Union, programmer for Prudential Insurance Company, mathematics teacher for Westwood High School and president of B. Maxwell Associates. Other noteworthy roles held in her career include teacher at St. Vincent Academy, teacher in Ghana, teacher for St. Paul's Lutheran School, member of the Peace Corps., project manager for Information Sciences, Inc., and consultant for Five Technologies in Montvale, NJ. In recognition of her professional excellence, Mr. Tobiassen was the recipient of the British Airways Face Opportunity award. In addition, she was selected for inclusion into Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.

As someone who is always willing to lend a helping hand, Ms. Tobiassen knew that she wanted to pursue a career where she could do just that. She prepared for her career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in math education from Rider College in 1972 and a postgraduate degree from Montclair State University in 1973. Additionally, she achieved certification as a secondary teacher in the state of New Jersey. To stay at the top of her field, Ms. Tobiassen has taken on career opportunities outside of her profession. In addition to her volunteering work, she has served as a guest speaker on information sciences for Computer Associates B.A.C. As she looks to the future, Ms. Tobiassen intends to continue providing top of the line volunteering and consulting services in Ghana and around the world.
