/24-7PressRelease/ -- Dade Medical College's new Chief Operating Officer is Dean S. Bartness and he comes to the school from Florida Career College, where he was their Vice President of Regulatory Compliance. Prior to this, Dean served as Director of Compliance and Internal Audit for Full Sail Real World Education. Bartness has spent more than 15 years in upper management positions and brings a plethora of compliance and analytical experience with him.

Mr. Bartness, who worked in the public sector for the Supreme Court of Florida (investigative analyst for the Board of Bar Examiners), the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Florida Department of Health and Office of Inspector General at the University of Florida as Internal Auditor / Investigator, also currently sits on the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges' Board of Directors as an executive officer (Secretary). He remains actively involved in federal, state and local government educational regulatory relations.
A Certified Internal Auditor, Bartness was class Valedictorian at his high school in Dilworth, MN and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University as a Multinational Business Operations major. Dean relocated to Tallahassee, Florida in August 1988 after having survived nearly twenty years of blizzards, shoveling and subzero temperatures. Mr. Bartness, his wife Wendee and their three children, Blake, Quinn and Willow, currently reside in the considerably warmer clime of Pembroke Pines, FL.
Dade Medical College was founded in 1999 as a vocational medical institute teaching diagnostic ultrasound. The main campus is located at 3401 NW 7th Street, Miami, FL 33125 and like the Hialeah campus (built in 2007 and located at 2750 W 68th Street, Suite 202, Hialeah, FL 33016) offers diplomas and or Associate of Science degrees. Fields of study include Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, General Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Management, Massage Therapy and Medical Assistant. The schools also feature the new Diagnostic Vascular Sonography diploma and degree programs.
Dade Medical College's Miami Campus is currently expanding to include more than 19,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, library and office space. Renovations recently completed at the Hialeah Campus brought the total size to 22,000 square feet, including a new student lounge. Construction is now underway on a second non-main campus in Homestead, which will house approximately 10,500 square feet and being enrolling students on or around June 15th, 2009. Also, plans are being submitted for a 15,000 square foot Hollywood (FL) Campus set to open by spring 2010, which would bring Dade Medical College's total square footage to more than 66,000.
Dade Medical College is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education and is a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges, where school CEO Ernesto Perez also serves as a Board Member.
