-- The objective of the pilot plant test was to find the best suitable catalyst system for the catalytic hydrodesulfurization unit (CHD) at Bayernoil's Neustadt site. hte used one of its in-house developed multifold trickle-bed miniplants with catalyst volumes up to 100 mL in each reactor. The parallel reactor system allowed the pilot plant test to be performed much faster than with the conventional approach.
