Beckatt Solutions to exhibit 3D printing technology at the NEW 200 Foundation STEM Expo on January 28th in Warrenville, IL

Beckatt Solutions, a leading Midwest provider of 3D printing technology and services, will exhibit at the NEW 200 Foundation STEM Expo Hubble Middle School in Warrenville, IL, on January 28th.

ELGIN, IL, January 29, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Beckatt Solutions will represent Mcor Technologies and their line of paper-based 3D printers, including the Matrix 300+ and the Iris, the only 3D printer to meet the International Color Consortium's standard for HD color accuracy. Founders of Beckatt Solutions and Managing Partners, Matt Pray and Michael Storey will be present to showcase the technology and sample parts. Beckatt Solutions will also represent MakerBot and their line of commercially-available 3D printers and scanners, as well as MarkForged and the Mark One Composite 3D Printer, which uses continuous fiber reinforcement inside nylon parts to provide extremely durable and light-weight 3D prints. Prints from Mcor, MakerBot and MarkForged will be on display for attendees to examine, and demonstrations of the MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer and MarkForged Mark One will be available.

The Beckatt booth will demonstrate the 3D printing capabilities of the Mcor Iris and Mcor ARKe, the only paper-based full-color 3D printers available, and will display a variety of models printed on the Mcor 3D printers. "We are excited about exhibiting and representing the Mcor, MakerBot and MarkForged brands at this STEM Expo" said Matt Pray. He added "This show gives us the opportunity to showcase the unique full-color capabilities of the Iris and the ARKe (the only desktop full-color 3D printer available on the market), and educate those in the education sphere about the competitive advantages, in terms of costs savings and color, of the Mcor 3D printers and the resulting parts".

The NEW 200 Foundation STEM Expo is an event focused on fun STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities for local students and parents. Students and other attendees will have the opportunity to visit exhibits and participate in STEM experiments. Exhibits will include Argonne National Laboratory, Fermilab, Lincoln Marsh, NIU STEM Outreach, SCARCE, and more. There will be two break-out sessions for more in-depth learning (sign up for your session when you arrive). The event will conclude in the auditorium with a Cryogenics show by Mr. Freeze of Fermi Lab. The NEW 200 Foundation (Network for Educational Excellence Wheaton-Warrenville 200 School District) is dedicated to enhancing the learning experiences of District 200 students and inspiring students to become enthusiastic and engaged learners. This year, the STEM Expo is being held Hubble Middle School in Warrenville on January 28th. The Expo will draw elementary-school aged students and above (and their parents) from across School District 200. Event proceeds will fund STEM initiatives for this school year.

Mcor Technologies is an innovative manufacturer of the world's most affordable, full-color and eco-friendly 3D printers. Winner of the 2015 SOLIDWORKS World Best-in-Show for hardware and 2015 CES Best-in-Show for 3D printers, Mcor is the only manufacturer if 3D printers to use ordinary business-A4/letter paper as the build material, a choice that renders durable, tactile and cost-effective models. Mcor recently announced the addition of the ARKe to their printer line up, the world's first full-color desktop 3D printer, and was named CES 2016 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree in the 3D Printing Products category.

MakerBot, with one of the largest installed bases and market shares of the desktop 3D printing industry, is setting the standards in reliable and affordable desktop 3D printing. MakerBot sells desktop 3D printers to innovative and industry-leading customers worldwide, including engineers, architects, designers, educators and consumers. MakerBot is leading the way in helping educators of all levels integrate 3D printing in to their curricula. From starter projects to professional development, MakerBot provides resources to make 3D printing more accessible for educators and students.

MarkForged's innovative new material and printing process allows designers and engineers to 3D print real composite parts that are up to five times stronger and 20 times stiffer than traditionally 3D printed parts made from ABS plastic. The composite industry is particularly excited by the Mark One's ability to selectively place continuous fiber reinforcement inside nylon parts, allowing engineers to control material cost and avoid the trimming, mold-making and curing required in traditional composite part lay-up.
