Becky J. Downard Named a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Business Management

    WELCHES, OR, January 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Becky Downard, President and Chief Executive Officer of MyPlaceToLearn, was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

As the president and CEO of MyPlaceToLearn, Ms. Downard specializes in human resources, content development, problem-solving, and relationship building. She is responsible for overseeing the production and sales and marketing departments, as well as managing client relations. Ms. Downard was born and raised in a small town in the foothills of Mt. Hood, Ore. Her family owned and operated a twenty-seven hole golf course and convention center for more than 40 years. From the beginning, Becky understood the long-term importance of excellent customer service, and the enormous impact that education and training can have on the bottom line.

Becky spent more than 15 years as the head of Human Resources at historic Timberline Lodge in Oregon. As an experienced "end-user," Becky brings a unique perspective to her training, matching organizational need with employee development in creative ways that both build employee commitment and increase employee competence. Ms. Downard completed coursework in accounting and finance, business management, and human resource management. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and was recently named Alpha Sigma Lambda through DeVry University for outstanding academic achievement.
