/24-7PressRelease/ - AMMAN, JORDAN, January 25, 2007 - Beecell, a Jordanian mobile value added services solution provider, recently signed a contract with Dubai TV Sports Channel to provide football fans across the region with full Mobile coverage for the 18th Gulf Cup tournament. The tournament shall be held in Abu Dhabi during the period of January 17th and January 30th 2007, and now through Beecell, fans will be able to keep themselves updated on the latest developments pertaining to this regional event.
This service will allow subscribers across the region to receive rich content pertaining to the tournament via text messages (SMS), multimedia messages (MMS), Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), and for the first time the Gulf Cup tournament can be watched through Mobile Video Streaming.
With this partnership, Beecell and Dubai Sports channel will provide mobile users across the region with a unique sporting experience through their Mobile phones. The Gulf Cup Mobile Services will be available to more than 20 GSM operators in the Middle East, giving over 30 million GSM mobile users the opportunity to keep themselves updated on match schedules and results, statistics, team standings, tournament news, and live broadcasts of the event itself.
Mr. Ahmed Al Shaikh the Chairman of Dubai Sports Channel said, Dubai Sports Channel takes this chance and this partnership to bring to the viewers the best sports events and it will use the new media to reach valuable viewers in the Arab World.
