Bentley Prince Street Introduces Razor Hill - A Stylish & Affordable Broadloom Carpet Made with Surplus Yarn

Newest addition to Easy Street Collection adds colorful twist to traditional tweed.

LOS ANGELES, CA, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Razor Hill is the newest product offering in Bentley Prince Street's versatile and popular Easy Street Collection. As a leader in sustainability and innovative product design, Bentley Prince Street has utilized yarn remnants from previous product runs within the Easy Street family to create Razor Hill. As a result, it boasts a texture reminiscent of tweed. Beautiful space dyed yarns interlace with a background of neutrals for a traditional effect with a colorful twist. Available in broadloom, Razor Hill makes it easy for designers to make the value-filled and sustainable choice for higher education, medical and open office applications.

"The addition of Razor Hill adds more versatility and value to the Easy Street Collection," says Anthony Minite, president of Bentley Prince Street. "From Central Avenue's smooth cut pile to Razor Hill's textural tweed, the collection is perfect for our customers who demand function, convenience and beautiful product combinations."

In addition to utilizing leftover yarn from previous product runs within its Easy Street Collection family, Razor Hill contains a minimum of 15% recycled content yarn. When installed with the standard High PerformancePC backing, that number increases to 18% post-consumer recycled content by total product weight. Razor Hill also continues Bentley Prince Street's partnership with Aquafil Yarn Systems, a zero waste company. Certified to the NSF 140-2009 Sustainability Assessment for Carpet at the Platinum level, Razor Hill and the Easy Street Collection continue to move Bentley Prince Street closer to achieving its Mission Zero promise.

"Razor Hill's color line is named for and inspired by L.A.'s food truck phenomenon," says Valerie Ottaviano, vice president of design. "Colorful food trucks serving up gourmet food with a side of creativity now fill the streets of L.A., just as Razor Hills' colors and texture fill any space with movement and brightness."

Razor Hill joins Hill Street, Washington Boulevard, Lake Street, Oak Street and Central Avenue on Easy Street. Central Avenue, a solid cut pile available in 30 colors, is perfect on its own or when paired with any of the collection's five patterns. Taking full advantage of Ultron's 6,6, nylon, the collection offers a full range of colors from subtle neutrals to vivid brights. In addition, the five patterns in the collection appear straighter and offer better stability as a result of Bentley Prince Street's High PerformancePC backing.
