DALLAS, TX, January 13, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/
-- BERKEYS Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical
has been approved to be a Testing Organization by North American Technician Excellence (NATE). NATE is the nation's largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians. As an approved testing organization, Berkeys will host testing sessions for candidates seeking NATE HVACR technician certification.
In addition, Berkeys
has been approved as a Recognized Training Provider to offer HVACR-related training to those technicians seeking training for NATE recertification.
By passing nationally recognized tests and becoming NATE-certified, a technician verifies that they possess the skills and knowledge to perform at the highest industry standards. A technician maintains NATE certification by attending a requisite amount of technical training every two years to stay informed about the latest advances in the industry. Since the HVACR industry does not require technicians to take mandatory competency tests, many of today's consumers hire contractors with NATE-certified technicians to ensure they are working with qualified professionals.
Jamie Wooldridge, President of Berkeys
said, "We are pleased to be recognized by NATE as a Training and Testing Organization. It is important to our industry's reputation to have qualified technicians in the field and also important to our client's peace of mind to have assurance that they will have competent technicians available to take care of their ever-more complex HVAC needs. We look forward to offering our services for those interested in earning and/or maintaining their NATE Certification."
Berkeys' NATE certified Trainer and Proctor, James Pianezzola, said, "It is a great honor and privilege to be part of the Berkeys team in regard to the constant goal of excellence and service to the public. Berkeys has taken another step in continuing this excellence by promoting education in the HVAC/R industry through NATE training and certification. NATE and Berkeys is a great partnership, because both organizations believe in the common goal towards excellence. Furthermore, NATE and Berkeys make integrity a priority when servicing our clients' needs."
Wade Mayfield, Chairman of the NATE Board of Trustees, stated, "Our training and testing organization partners are the cornerstone of the NATE certification program. We are pleased to welcome Berkeys Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical to the NATE certification program and wish them success moving forward."
NATE certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVACR systems. Developed by a committee of industry experts nationwide, our NATE exams represent HVACR topics pertinent to contractors, educators, manufacturers and utilities alike.
All of the NATE tests are rigorous, multiple-choice, knowledge-based tests and validate a technician's knowledge. NATE candidates may earn Installation and/or Service certification in one or more SPECIALTY areas, including:
Light Commercial Refrigeration
Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
