Renowned real estate developer Delhi-based Best City Infrastructure India Private Limited (BCIIPL), a Best Group Company, is all set to lay the foundation stone of its dream project 'Best City Center' spread over 4.5 acre of prime locationby the end of February, 2008, at the epicenter of the commercial hub at Mall Road in Bathinda, the fastest growing city of Punjab.
The Company grabbed the deal for this piece of land, situated in the heart of the city, amid fierce bidding battle at an exorbitant sum of Rs 184 crore (Rs 84,400 per sq yard), against the reserve price of Rs 135 crore fixed by the Bathinda Development Authority, the highest ever bid amount for a single property in the history of Punjab.
The main attraction of the Rs 600-crore Best City Center is 16-17 storey-high World Class 5-Star Hotel project with 150 rooms with all modern facilities and a 3-tier multi-level Car Parking to accommodate 1,000 cars for the convenience of the visitors and guests. Best Group will also construct a Mall, a 4-Screen Multiplex, an Entertainment Zone in 1 lakh sq ft, Hyper Market in 1 lakh sq ft, Food Courts and 3-4 Anchor Stores. The entire project is expected to be completed within a span of two years with start-to-finish schedule.
The mega-project , already approved by the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA), will be developed by Delhi-based local architect 4th Dimension under the technical consultancy and design support by world-class Singapore-based architect firm TEAM 3.

The location for the Best City Center is very ideal as the city of less than half a million population, Bathinda, is surrounded by more than 12 small cities and is famous for its big Grains, Cotton and Grapes markets, besides business activities taking up fast in the growing Steel , Power and Refinery sectors, said Mr Arora.
Punjab Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal on his birthday i.e. Decenber 8, 2007 laid the foundation stone of a world class high-tech Cricket Stadium to be constructed in the city. In the last one year, the town and the district has witnessed investments of over Rs 20,000 crore. The Guru Gobind Singh Refinery Limited (GGSRL), a joint-venture of HPCL & L.N. Mittal, Bathinda, costing over Rs 18,000 crore will be commissioned by December 2010.
The Centre has also been approached to issue No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the two civil airports in the State at Bhisiana in Bathinda and Sahnewal near Ludhiana. An IIT or IIM is also proposed to be set up in the city. With the emergence of all these fast-paced developmental activities, Bathinda is fast emerging on the Real Estate Map of India and one of the most sought after land in Punjab.
