Beverly G. Williams, P.E. Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Engineering

    Houston, Texas, December 4, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Beverly G. Williams, P.E., director of engineering for TLC Engineering, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

Ms. Williams has 25 years of experience in engineering, and has excelled the past five years as director of engineering for TLC Engineering, Inc. The company provides consulting, technical recruiting and business administrative staffing services for the petrochemical, energy-utility, construction and business industries. With a specialty is project development and management, and she is responsible for business development. This entails reviewing proposals, interacting with clients, strategic planning, and negotiating contracts. Furthermore, she is skilled at managing budgets, scheduling employees and allocating resources needed for each project. She has most recently begun serving as program manager for international housing projects in Africa. While in Lilongwe, Malawi last week (November 18, 2012) she received an Achievers Award form ACA (African Communications Agency) for her Commitment to the Development of Africa.

The highlight of Ms. Williams' career was her first housing construction project in 1998, which was for Fisk University. It was the first new construction project for the university in 30 years. Another highlight was her first modular housing construction project where she constructed 2 single family homes and 3 duplex units for the University.

Ms. Williams received a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, both from Tennessee State University. She is a licensed professional engineer in the States of Tennessee, Virginia and Texas. She is certified in Christian counseling and has been a licensed general contractor. Ms. Williams is on the Board of Directors for the African Union Diaspora African Forum and the Board of Directors for Gwendolyn Young Ministries. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Association of Professional Women. In 2011, she was the recipient of an Award from the National Association of Professional Women. She has also been distinguished with an Alumni of the Year distinction from Tennessee State University.
