    /Cambridge Who's Who/ - RIVERSIDE, CA, September 13, 2007 - Beverly JoAnn May, educator at Riverside Christian Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for excellence in elementary school education. May, a lifetime Cambridge Who's Who member, has consistently demonstrated strict adherence to virtuous educational standards in her 25 years of professional experience.

May became involved in her profession after her fourth grade teacher encouraged, challenged and inspired her. The life-changing impact never left her. "I hope to continue teaching, challenging and encouraging my students, much the way my fourth grade teacher did," she says. In the 19 years that she has been with Riverside Christian Schools, May has gained experience teaching all subjects to fourth grade inclusion classes consisting of approximately 23 students per year. The most gratifying aspect of her career is when a past student returns to praise her for the important lessons they learned during their formative years.

Riverside Christian Elementary School is part of the group of Riverside Christian Schools, an independent school system representing over 1,100 students and 150 churches. The Riverside academic family is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The elementary school offers an education based on academics and Biblical studies for kindergarten to sixth grade students, combined with extracurricular activities such as a choir, a band and athletic teams. May, a Riverside Christian School graduate, received her bachelor of arts in elementary education and English from Pacific Coast University. She holds certification from the Association of Christian Schools International, a Christian school educators credential provider with approximately 50,000 certified members and more than 5,500 participating schools. In her spare time, May tutors students on academic subjects. She also teaches at a vacation Bible school. An expert on Christian education, May is available to speak with the media.
