BGCOP Appoints New Member to its Board of Directors

Oxnard law firm partner joins the Club's leadership team



    OXNARD, CA, May 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme announces the addition of Theodore Schneider, a partner at the law firm of Schneiders & Associates, to its board of directors.

"Ted is committed to improving the lives of our youth in Oxnard and Ventura County, and his hands-on experience and leadership in areas of community associations, non-profits and city municipalities will be a valuable addition to our outreach efforts," said Erin Antrim, BGCOP chief executive officer. "He brings a wealth of knowledge to our board of directors and we are honored to have him join as our newest member."

An active member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the Tri-Counties Local Government Attorneys' Association, Schneider is currently a partner, together with his father Roy, at Schneiders & Associates, located in the Topa Financial Tower in Oxnard.

A Ventura County native, Schneider previously served from 2008 - 2012 as the City Attorney of the City of Fillmore, representing the City in all aspects of municipal law, including land use, finance, labor and employment, eminent domain and general municipal law. During that same period, Ted also served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Ojai. Schneider also worked in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher before relocating to Ventura County in 2005.
Active in many nonprofit and charitable organizations, Schneider currently serves on two other nonprofit boards in Oxnard.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme exists to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. With three full-service clubs and 18 school program sites, the organization is one of the largest of its kind in California, serving more than 9,000 members annually. It's also the first Boys & Girls Club of its kind to open in the Juvenile Justice Center.
