    /24-7PressRelease/ - SUMMERDALE, AL, April 15, 2008 - The Baldwin County Express Inc is sponsoring an annual parade starting in 2009. This parade will coincide with the counties Bicentennial celebrations. They are building a full scale steam locomotive to lead the celebrations. They have volunteered to run the Bicentennial Park Express locomotive every weekend to assist in the official county-wide celebrations and to advertise the Baldwin County Bicentennial Park. The Baldwin County Express Inc has requested that the County Commission and Bicentennial Steering Committee provide funding for fuel and other miscellaneous expenses.

On April 14, 2008 Max Ard, president of the organization met with the official Baldwin County Bicentennial Steering Committee to officially volunteer and coordinate efforts with those of the Steering Committee. The locomotive will be fully operational by January 2009. Only Baldwin County Express Inc members are allowed to ride on the locomotive. Anyone may join the group for free at the Hobo level. They have five levels of membership. Everyone must sign a wavier to board the train. You may join at their website.
