Presenting recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, the AAO annual meeting features the most extensive floor exhibit in ophthalmology. With the unique Tonometer Diaton, BiCOM is challenging Glaucoma. Called the "sneak thief of sight", it carries an increasing threat of preventable blindness to those worldwide. Diaton allows for screenings without the use of anesthetic drops and most importantly, no contact with the cornea. This makes screening easier than ever before, especially for children and seniors. Tonometer Diaton measures intraocular pressure (IOP) through the upper eyelid, over sclera, which in turn does not require correction for corneal thickness and reduces possibilities of infection.
