/24-7PressRelease/ - LONDON, UK, July 06, 2006 - As per a report by a charity, more and more Britons are coming under the category of big debtors. The fastest growth in debts has been seen among people over 60 years of age.
Consumer Credit Counselling Service has done a survey which says that out of the 280,000 people who were helped by it last year; around 2.7 debtors had debts of over 100,000 pounds, as compared to 1.4 percent in the previous year.
People in the age group of 40 to 59 were the biggest debtors with an average debt of 34,456 pounds.
Many agencies working with debtors found that easy availability of loans, such as car loans, personal loan, bad credit loan etc. are responsible for the increase in the number of debtors.
