/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Birmingham Falls Foundation is excited to announce the launch of their first 5K road race and 1 Mile Fun Run to benefit Birmingham Falls Elementary School in Milton, GA. Designed to be fun and family-centric, the event is open to the entire community.
The Foundation raises and earmarks funds towards a variety of programs, including Discovery Zone, Technology, the Media Center, and many other educational needs, such as instructional materials. Working closely with the PTA, the Foundation strives to provide financial support to both PTA programs and other priorities within the school. The Foundation is run by a Board of Trustees, all volunteers from the community.
"We think this is great way to raise money for the school and still have fun," says race coordinator and Foundation founding member Sari Braderman. "The focus on family and fitness makes it a great event for the school's families as well as runners in the area."
