LONG BEACH, CA, September 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BizBash, the leading trade media for event and meeting organizers and event marketers, has announced the finalists for the first BizBash National Event Style Awards. After reviewing hundreds of event, brand, venue and talent submissions, an exclusive advisory board chose Revelry Event Designers as a Best Event Decor (Budget Over $50,000) finalist for Haunted Masquerade Breeders' Cup Kick-Off Party
We had five days for installation and a cooperative residence management team led by Patrick Brown, Executive Director of the Getty House Foundation. Jeff Brown of Brown Hot Events worked hard to maintain the integrity and preserve the maintenance of the existing property, while juggling more than six vendor teams throughout the week's installation. Onsite security was required for the venue around the clock from installation to strike and limited neighborhood parking required offsite parking for crew and staff. To work out the design and execution for the party, our Revelry expert Matias Doorn worked with Jeff Brown to review the overall scope and vision for the event. Matias then made a plan to bring the Haunted Masquerade vision to life. Jeff described the working relationship as "...a very enjoyable collaboration with a kindred design spirit. He's always on the cusp of what's fresh, luxe, chic and relevant to the Brown Hot style of sophisticated funk and fun."
After meeting with Jeff, we got to work and encased our chandeliers in Lucite cocktail tables that lit up when the lights went down. We created a black skull chandelier that hung above our round, custom-made bar in the center of the room. We also set up several lounge areas using our black, Prague furniture, oversized black ornate mirrors and black Lucite coffee tables. Our silver cocktail chairs and tables and mirrored bar and DJ stand gave the party a more modern look. The party was filled with ambient lighting and fog to create a very spooky atmosphere.
