BlackBerry still the top mobile device

/24-7PressRelease/ - BURY, UK, June 29, 2008 - Apple's new device may appeal to the style conscious, but in terms of functionality, it doesn't come close to challenging BlackBerry's dominance of the mobile device market.

BlackBerry's triumph of substance over style is what has seen the device become synonymous with mobile business communication.

According to InfoWorld's Tom Kaneshige:

"BlackBerry's signature user-oriented features have become part and parcel to the way people work every day: push messaging, apps running in the background, always-on instant messaging, and, of course, the venerable and practical hardware keyboard for serious and, at times, lengthy correspondence."

"In contrast, the iPhone's touch keyboard has been criticized for being unwieldy for such typing correspondence."

A spokesperson for Genesis Communications, one of the U.K's largest suppliers of BlackBerrys commented.

"BlackBerrys have been the business phone of choice for many years now and it will take something special to challenge that. The iPhone may be stylish, but in terms of functionality and usability, it falls short."

"Business users want a phone which is, first and foremost, easy to use, with the features to allow them to stay in constant contact with their colleagues. BlackBerrys have a proven track record of being the best way to achieve this."

Genesis provide BlackBerrys with Microsoft Exchange hosting, which allows users to access their emails, contacts, tasks and calendar through Microsoft Outlook from virtually anywhere. Exchange hosting has revolutionised the business communications of thousands of businesses and your business could join them for as little as 13.98 a month. You can even 'try before you buy' with a free trial of the service.

As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Genesis have been specially approved to supply exchange hosting, to find out more, http://www.genesis.co.uk/exchange2007/ or call 0844 847 9606
