Discovery Moto Tour decided on the F800GS because of its weight of about 175 kilos and narrow frame making it comfortable and well balanced to ride even when standing on the pegs.

BMW will be delivering each one especially tuned for the tour including lower torque for low speed control and less gear changing; and the ability to run on low grade fuel. They will also be kitted with several Touratech accessories to make the fully expedition ready.
