Bojan Kuure has been the director of surgical services at Island Hospital for 26 years. Her expertise lies in operating room and anesthesia nursing as well as operating room management. Peers look to her to ensure the proper performance of central services including endoscopy and the administering of anesthesia. She is known for her expertise in maintaining procedural flow in the operating room.
Ms. Kuure, earned her Registered Nurse degree and completed research on open-heart procedures including bypass surgeries in her native Finland. She is a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses and counts Interplast, Operation Smile Incorporated, and the Oregon, Midlantic and Northeast chapters of Healing the Children among her favorite charities.
