Bonnie S. Satterfield Recognized for Dedication to Legal Services

Bonnie Satterfield was named a Professional of the Year in Law in 2010



    CORAL SPRINGS, FL, August 3, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bonnie S. Satterfield, Attorney, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

With more than three decades of legal experience, Ms. Satterfield specializes in providing legal representation in state and federal appellate courts. Her legal representation includes brief-writing and oral argument. The owner of a private practice, she attributes her success to her independent personality, diligence, work ethic, and excellent client service. She considers the most gratifying aspect of her career to be that of correcting errors made by trial courts. In recognition of her outstanding work, Ms. Satterfield was named a Professional of the Year in Law in 2010 by Cambridge Who's Who. She is also an honored VIP member of the same organization.

Ms. Satterfield received a JD, with honors, from the Florida State University College of Law. She previously earned a Master of Fine Arts in theater from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in speech and theater arts from MacMurray College. Moreover, she is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil and Family mediator and a Florida qualified arbitrator. She is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, U.S. District Courts and qualified to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals in the 5th, 11th and Federal Circuits of the United States. Prior to establishing her private practice, Ms. Satterfield was a litigation partner at Ruden McClosky in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Ms. Satterfield has been active in professional associations throughout her career, holding numerous leadership positions. From 2000 to present, she has been a member of the American Business Women's Association Coral Springs Charter Chapter; she has served as the group's historian from 2007 to the present. From 2000 to 2004, she was an officer of the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. From 2001 to 2002, she was the president of the Federal Bar Association's Broward County Chapter, and from 2001 to the present, she has served on the organization's executive board. From 1991 to 1992, she was the president of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Satterfield is a founder and charter member of the American Inns of Court, Broward County, Fla., and a member of the Broward County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, and the Association of South Florida Mediators and Arbitrators.
