/24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen Bystedt, arrived in Hollywood in 1988, she had one goal; to photograph actors who would one day be the superstars of the silver screen. Hollywood was a city where there were as many photographers as there were waiters, Bystedt needed to set herself apart from all of her competition, and that's just what she did.
Bystedt made her rounds to all of the personal managers and talent agencies to compile her list of actors. Once she had had the information that she needed, she just called them up and simply stated "I would like to photograph you". Bystedt took photographing these upcoming stars to a whole new level, doing what no other photographer had yet done; she interviewed them, getting personal, intimate details of their lives as she took their photograph. This was the time when there were none if very few agents, managers or PR people advising them what they should or should not discuss with Bystedt.
Some of these actors include: Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., Lawrence Fishburne, Courteney Cox, Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Dempsey, Brendan Fraser, Jared Leto, Heather Graham, David Duchovny, Stephen Baldwin, Willem Dafoe, Christian Slater, Josh Brolin, Neve Campbell and Patrick Swayze.
Robert Downey Jr. quoted his father, "I've carried you too long. You're 18. Don't call me up to even ask me for a dollar. I don't care if you call me to tell me you are hungry."
Neve Campbell shared, "All throughout school I was the loser of my class. I had absolutely no friends."
Johnny Depp revealed, "I was mischievous as a boy. I loved tape recording people while they didn't know.
One time, a friend and I dug a really deep tunnel in my backyard we covered it with boards and leaves. I was attempting to dig a tunnel to my room."
Keanu Reeves admitted, "My biggest fear is that my underwear would have a stain on them if I'm ever with a woman that I've never slept with before."
Karen Bystedt's collection of photographs and interviews that's she shares in her new book, gives you a first look into the private lives of these young actors, sharing their hopes and dreams of walking the red carpet, long before they actually did.
