Book Written to Help Unemployed IT Professionals Find Work Locally As Independent Contractors

Independent contractor turned author Don Johnson releases book to teach IT professionals how to find work in their city working as independent contractors for national service providers.

OMAHA, NE, July 21, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Don Johnson wrote his book "A Guide to Becoming an Independent Contractor in the IT Industry" to help IT professionals find work in their city and surrounding areas as independent contractors.

"A Guide to Becoming an Independent Contractor in the IT Industry" walks IT professionals step by step through the process for becoming independent contractors. It also shows IT professionals how and where to apply for work. "The process for locating work is an easy one" Don said. "In my book I show you the what to do and what not to do as an independent contractor. I started my business with just $50, but now for the price of a book under $15.00; Systems Engineers, POS, Computer and Telephone technicians will be able to become independent contractors for far less than what it cost me."

Don also announced today that he will be making himself available nationally as a consultant, starting August 4, 2014, to companies and organizations interested in moving part or all of their IT workforce from full and part time positions to independent contractors. This comes at a time when companies are struggling with the inner workings of The Affordable Care Act. When asked how this change in hiring practices will benefit employees and employers Don said; "In most cases, both sides win. Employees who are laid off by their company and then re-hired as independent contractors will generally have more flexible hours and in some cases be able to do work outside of the company to earn more money. Employers benefit from hiring independent contractors because it will save them money in benefits and resources. Don will work closely with companies and organizations to setup their account on a workforce platform so they will be able to send work directly to former employees now working for them as independent contractors.

"A Guide to Becoming an Independent Contractor in the IT Industry" can be purchased on Amazon at http://amzn.com/1312062975 for $13.46 (paperback) or $9.95 in kindle format.
