EL PASO COUNTY, CO, July 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BookKeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with David Willers to open an office in Colorado Springs, Colorado serving El Paso County. The new BookKeeping Express office will open in mid-August and will be the first in Colorado.

"I'm thrilled about the opportunity to provide skilled bookkeeping services that focus on the small business community," said David Willers. "I am excited about becoming an entrepreneur and part of the BookKeeping Express family. BookKeeping Express has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and their proven business model will provide me with the marketing and operations support I need to help me grow my business, which will help others grow theirs."

Willers' professional experience includes more than eight and a half years with Awana Clubs International, a leader in children's ministry, where he most recently served as the Executive Director of Operations. His responsibilities included internal operations, IT, marketing, shipping, warehouse, and customer service. Earlier in his career, Willers spent nearly 19 years with the United Parcel Service, serving as a District Engineering Manager in San Antonio, Texas. For the past several years, Willers has been a private investor.

"My work experience gives me a good perspective on blending finances and accounting with outstanding service. BookKeeping Express is a good fit for me, because when times are tough, business owners should remain as current as they can with their books," urges Willers. "Beyond just knowing revenues and expenses, bookkeeping helps owners and managers organize themselves. Psychologically it can set the mind at ease knowing where the business stands at the end of each day."

With more than 16,000 small businesses in the region, BookKeeping Express offers a much-needed service to companies that are not equipped or do not wish to handle accounting responsibilities such as setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting. Plus, BookKeeping Express utilizes a Custom Flex Pricing Model that is based on the clients' needs instead of a one fits all, hourly billing approach.

The expansion into Colorado Springs is part of the company's aggressive national development plan which calls for more than 400 new territories throughout the United States.

"The small business community is growing in Colorado Springs and around the country, and BookKeeping Express is expanding with it, providing qualified franchise investors with a niche franchise option that caters to this growing segment," said Greg Jones, CEO of Bookkeeping Express. "We are looking to grow with franchise partners such as David who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services."

Prior to opening his BookKeeping Express office, Willers will earn the company's bookkeeping certification after several days of training at the company's headquarters in McLean, Virginia.

As part of the BookKeeping Express franchise model, all offices will offer the BKE Connect system, which allows businesses access to all bookkeeping files remotely through an outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually 'sums' up the business' operations for thorough analysis. Two options available to BookKeeping Express investors include Master or Area Development territories that can be operated out of home-based or commercial space locations; per territory start-up fees run under $50,000.
