/24-7PressRelease/ -- ONE STEP AWAY is not your average rock quartet. Hailing from Boston, these award-winning young musicians and songwriters have been called the "next big thing." One Step Away began in 2006, morphing to become the young phenom they are today. With hundreds of dynamic performances in a variety of venues from Foxwoods MGM Grand to Boston City Hall Plaza, radio and TV, they are no stranger to the demands of the stage and the music industry. One Step Away is comprised of Adam Carrington (Lead Vocals), Terence Healy (Lead Guitar), Mike Nuzzolo (Bass/Vocals) and Ben Trudeau (Drums).
One Step Away has appeared on multiple radio and TV stations including FOX, WBZ, WBSK, WPXT, WNAC, WSBK,WCTX, HCTV, My R.I. TV and WWLP. Things really started for One Step Away with their capture of the 2008 Boston Music Festival Alternative Rock Genre award for performance of their original songs. In 2009 and 2010, they continue to win more accolades in New England and nationally in band battles and showcases, including winning four episodes of the TV Talent Showcase Community Auditions, earning them a position in the season finals which aired earlier this year.
Prior to now they have produced two EPs of 100% original materials. Having now spent many weeks working with their Record Producer, they soon hit the road to record many new songs and put a refreshing twist on a couple of their older ones.
On June 19, 2010, just one day before they hit the road to record their new album, they will have a special concert and Meet-n-Greet at the New North Music Hall at 7pm. Closer Than We Appear, recent winners of the 2010 Southshore Conservatory Songwriters Contest will open for One Step Away. Tickets are $8 online and $10 at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm. This concert is the last of a trio of concerts previewing their upcoming album. Last week, One Step Away performed at Boston City Hall Plaza for the well-attended (10,000+) JimmyFund Scooperbowl. One Sunday, June 13th, One Step Away performed at the Boston House of Blues Front Room just ahead of the Jordin Sparks Battlefield Concert with Katie Voegle and the Universal Motown band: Days Difference.
With their new album in hand later this summer, One Step Away will be touring nationally this summer in a variety of venues across the United States, including Six Flags Amusement Parks, Universal Studios and Whisky A-Go-Go in Hollywood.
