Boxer Puts a Price on TV2

Starting January the days of watching TV2 for free are over. After New Year, viewers must pay to watch the channel.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, December 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- At Boxer, we have decided to include TV2 in each of our four TV-packages, so our customers can keep viewing the channel. And on top of this, we are also making Danish TV-history by making it possible for our customers to purchase the channel (in Danish the term is Tv kanaler) separately. For the first time ever, our customers can choose to pay for a single channel without purchasing a full TV-package.

Here are the prices for TV2 purchased separately:

-19 kr./monthly subscription

-199 kr./annual card fee (primarily running and maintenance costs). The fee makes up approximately one forth of Boxer's standard card-fee of 778 kr. annually.

The total cost of TV2 will be around 35kr. per month - less than the price of renting a premium film.

We are proud to present a price for TV2 (in Danish - TV2 betalingskanal) sold loose that is considerably lower than what has recently been speculated in the media. And we are very proud to once again be the TV-provider that takes the lead with more freedom of choice than our customers could get with any of the other providers. This is why we've chosen to make it possible for our customers to buy TV2 separately. Our customers get a freer choice, and Boxer becomes the first TV-provider in Denmark to offer real a la carte, says administrative director Steen Ulf Jensen, Boxer TV A/S.

In three of Boxers TV-packages - Boxer MINI, Boxer MIX, and Boxer MAX - TV2 will be included automatically. Subscribers to Boxer Flex8 can select the channel as one out of 8 optional channels in the mix-and-max package.

From January viewers must subscribe to Boxer if they wish to view TV2 on TV-sets with aerial reception.

Make sure your reception equipment is Boxer-approved. This is your guarantee that everything is in order so you can continue to view TV2 starting January 2012. It is a technical requirement that your TV or transmission box is up to the MPEG4-standard. If you are watching TV with a transmission box, your box already has a built-in card reader. To bring your TV up to standard, acquire a card reader compatible with your TV.

TV2-cards will be on sale at Boxer and Boxer-retailers across the country from October 3rd 2011.
