Brain Chase Kicks Off Season Two Treasure Hunt For The Sunstone Of Cortes

Five-Week Summer Learning Challenge Unlocks Clues To A $10,000 Scholarship

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, June 25, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brain Chase, a global treasure hunt powered by learning, has just kicked off its 5-week Summer Learning Challenge for grades 2-8. In an effort to keep young minds engaged during the summer months, as it is estimated that kids lose up to two months of grade level skills during this time, Brain Chase supplements summer fun with a daily dose of academic work and the quest for real-life buried treasure!

Now in its second season, this year's treasure hunt follows characters Mae Merriweather, her brother Max, Sean Drake and Savannah Bryce in their quest to find the lost Sunstone of Cortes. Participants at home complete roughly an hour of fun learning activities each day to unlock a unique, animated webisode featuring these characters and containing hidden clues to the real buried treasure. To aid in the hunt, three secret adventure tools are mailed to the participant's home over the 5-week course. The first child to pinpoint the treasure within a two-mile radius will fly with a parent to dig up the prize - the golden, mechanical Sunstone of Cortes which holds the key to a $10,000 college scholarship!

"With such a positive reception from last year's Brain Chase participants, we knew we were onto something completely unique in the summer learning space," says Allan Staker, CEO of Brain Chase Productions, "This year's quest comes with the best online learning resources out there, packaged up into one user-friendly experience, and then disguised as a massive treasure hunt to keep kids motivated and interested in learning all summer long."

This season, Brain Chase has added two new educational partners into the program, Rosetta Stone and Google Books, to offer a summer language component and access to thousands more books online. Weekly assignments focus on reading, math skills, writing or language and a weekly bonus challenge in science, geography, history and engineering. The writing portion of the program comes with credentialed teacher reviews, in addition to weekly progress emails to parents.

Children can take part in the Brain Chase adventure for $199 with additional sibling and group discounts available. To join the quest for the Sunstone of Cortes, please visit http://www.brainchase.com before registration closes on June 29th.

ABOUT BRAIN CHASE
Brain Chase began as a simple conversation between two parents, Heather and Allan Staker, who sought out to design a program that would keep their own five children sharp over the summer. Knowing that most students lose about two months of hard-earned knowledge over the summer months, Heather and Allan launched the online program to the world in June 2014 with 500 participants. With much success, Brain Chase became the motivational tool to help kids return to school in the fall fresh and confident. In addition to its direct-to-consumer product, Brain Chase partners with Boys & Girls Clubs and community programs around the country to offer Brain Chase at group rates. Brain Chase is introducing an after-school version in Fall 2015.
