Brandlective Introduces Monthly Website Audits Following Google's Web Spam Update

Online Marketing & Public Relations company, Brandlective Communications have announced that they are introducing monthly website audits, following the web spam update, Google Penguin.

LONDON, ENGLAND, October 01, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The London based firm assist businesses and professionals improve their brand visibility in search engines such as Google. The introduction of Brandlective Communications monthly audits will ensure that all their business client's are obeying 'White Hat' SEO techniques that are approved by Google.

After the success with the Google Panda algorithm; whose responsibility was to target low quality pages, Google Penguin went live on the 24th April 2012 and contained an 'Over Optimisation' penalty. The strategic goal of Penguin was to display higher quality websites at the top of Google's search results, and sink websites containing 'thin' content. Brandlective Communications advise the algorithm further aimed to decrease search engine rankings of websites that violate Google's Webmaster Guidelines.

The techniques that Google frown upon are classed under the SEO category as 'Black Hat', which prevents search engine users from fulfilling their information needs. Some Black Hat techniques involve:'cloaking'(a spamdexing technique to try to trick search engines into giving the relevant site a higher ranking); 'keyword stuffing' (the calculated placement of keywords within a page to raise the keyword count, variety, and density of the page) or hidden/invisible text which is usually irrelevant to what the website is about.

Kehoe also added that Google Penguin has been incredibly valuable regarding her businesses SEO strategies and clients.
"Our recent audit has been really interesting. Thankfully every brand we work with has maintained their position in Google Search so the recent web spam updates don't seem to have affected us. One thing we have been able to reevaluate since Google introduced Penguin is individual page rank, external links and meta data. We have been able to implement some very simple strategies for our clients to follow which we hope to see make a difference to their brands online visibility over the next few months."

As social becomes more important in the world of SEO, Brandlective Communications have also introduced engagement targets into their social media marketing strategies. Managing Director Stacey Kehoe states that "social is not a fad, those that still do not believe in the power and influence of social media marketing are living in a bubble.  We represent clients in very competitive industries so it is important we constantly evolve our campaigns in order to remain one step ahead of the competition."

Brandlective Communications have evidently avoided any damage that some of the SEO industries 'short-cutters' have complained about. Google's spam updates are welcomed by the firm who strongly support improving the search engine experience by providing relevant content for users.
