"There are so many worthwhile causes in my community, it's not difficult to fill up my weekends helping them out," explains Dr. Galante. "The 'Hospice Hustle' is especially dear to me, as I am one of the event's co-founders. This charity bike ride, now in its 6th year, benefits Hospice of the Calumet Area, which provides compassionate care for people facing an end-of-life illness. There was a 25-mile route for the novice rider and a more challenging 62-mile route for serious cyclists. This year, the ride took place on September 26, which turned out to be a beautiful, clear fall day. It was a great success with more riders than ever."
Through breast enhancement surgery, Dr. Galante has improved the way his patients look and they way they look at themselves. One of the most life-changing procedures he performs is

"This year, the 7th annual 'Romp and Roll' Walk and Fun Run raised over $144,000. Participants chose from a 1- or 2.5-mile family-style walk through Munster Community Park or a 5K Fun Run through the residential streets of Munster. I helped out the event this year by being a sponsor."
Instead of personally participating in the "Romp and Roll" this year, Dr. Galante helped out another worthwhile cause as a guest auctioneer for the Albert's Diamond Jewelers' annual Multiple Sclerosis auction, which also took place on October 3. During this charity event Dr. Galante helped auction off donated gift baskets, jewelry, watches, and other items. Over $70,000 was raised to help fight MS.
