/24-7PressRelease/ - NORTHRIDGE, CA, August 29, 2008 - While most kids spent their summer vacation relaxing and enjoying the warm weather, 11-yea-old Brej was on his grind. Today, he could write a book about his travels back and forth between his hometown, Boston, and Los Angeles, California where he performed for thousands of students on The School Tour. Organized by Chris Roker, The School Tour serves as a way to bring quality entertainment to school children ages elementary school up, who were able to enjoy a free show put on by several of today's promising young artists.
"It's a lot of fun performing, especially since I have to get my message across about education when I make these appearances. If you have an education, it will guide you through life. Knowledge and logic are keys to success."
The School Tour took Brej to such places as Venice Beach, San Deigo and South Central Los Angeles where accompanied by his father, Mark Williams, CEO of WPE Entertainment, Brej (pronounced Bree-jay), honed his chops on the music business. Brej also took center stage in Dallas, Texas last week to round out his summer tour schedule before returning to his own classrooms this fall.
No stranger to the entertainment scene, Brej was just a tiny elementary school student when he tagged along with his older sisters, who for a time, were part of the Radio Disney Incubator artists. He rubbed shoulders with such artists as The Jonas Brothers, and performed shows with Ne-Yo, Pretty Ricky and Omarion. "I've learned a lot working with these artists," Brej confesses. I was inspired. When I saw them on stage and heard the audience's reaction it inspired me to do the same. I want to give my message to the people." Brej , whose first single, "Twist Wit It," spawned one of the summer's hottest dances, is now in the process of releasing his second single produced by Scott Storch.
