Brisbane Trainer Releases New Capability Framework for Leaders

    BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, August 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James McNamara is the Founder of The Impact Factory, a boutique leadership training provider in Brisbane, Australia. He specialised in teaching leadership, communication and influence skills to team leaders, supervisors and managers.

James says "employee engagement is a significant issue for our organisations. Research shows that as much as 80% of our workforce is not engaged at work. This leads to significant performance issues and lost opportunities for our organisations."

Research also shows that one of the single most important positions in an organisation that can effect engagement levels is the direct supervisor. That's why engaging leadership training is vital for managers today.

James has worked with managers in the Queensland public sector since the late nineties. In this time he has been able to distil the key skills and strategies that help managers engage their teams better.

After working with managers for more than a decade James has released what he calls The Engaging Leader Capability Framework. This is designed to dovetail with the QPS Capability and Leadership Framework for the state public sector in Queensland.

The Engaging Leader Capability Framework outlines the key leadership behaviours that are adopted by those leaders who have engaged teams. James's framework has seven key elements, each comprising a comprehensive list of leader behaviour descriptions. These key areas include;

3. Know Your People
4. Communicate With Influence
5. Be Proactive
6. Build Team Performance
7. Think Creatively

These seven areas align to the Queensland Public Sector (QPS) Capability and Leadership Framework.
