NEW YORK, NY, October 15, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Popular recording artist, Broadway star, and concert performer Linda Eder announced today that "Christmas Where You Are", the long-awaited follow-up to her best-selling and critically acclaimed holiday 2000 CD "Christmas Stays the Same" (on which her 2001 BRAVO-TV concert special and DVD of the same name were based), is on sale now and will be sold exclusively on www.LindaEder.com
and at CD signings following most of her U.S.-based concerts from October 17th through the end of December, 2013.
Eder's fans from around the world participated in selecting six of the twelve tracks on the CD by voting via social media for the Christmas classics they most wanted to hear Linda perform. One of those fan selections, "Baby, It's Cold Outside", has been reinterpreted by Eder as a tongue-in-cheek mother-child debate about going outside in chilly weather and is performed on the CD by Eder and her son.
The CD includes two original songs: "Christmas Where You Are" (music and lyrics by Linda Eder) and "Silence of Snow" (music by Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Linda Eder).
In addition to writing and performing for the CD, Eder also serves as Co-Producer (along with Billy Jay Stein). "I waited thirteen years to make my second Christmas CD. Some familiar faces came back to help me create this music as well as some wonderful musicians that I have come to know and work with over the last several years", said Eder. "Christmas is meant to be a special time when we remember what is important in life and the people who are dearest to our hearts. Christmas music plays a big part in that. I hope this CD helps listeners to find the magic of Christmas this year and every year to come."
