Brothers Bring Local, Sustainable, Hassle-Free Christmas Tree Delivery to NYC

Native New Yorkers, business partners and brothers, Harold and Louis DeLucia continue their annual tradition of bringing locally grown Fraser Firs to thousands of families this holiday season through NYCTREES.COM.

NEW YORK, NY, November 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The brothers launched NYCTREES two years ago after seeing numerous tree stands stocked with second-grade timbers sourced from Canada. They recognized the need for high quality, local Christmas trees at an affordable price, and created NYCTREES to bring farm-fresh Fraser Firs from small, local, family farms to New York City. The company eliminates the stress of Christmas tree shopping by providing delivery, installation, and a complimentary stand for each tree ordered through their website - NYCTREES.COM - with the added convenience of selecting your 1 hour delivery window. NYCTREES is excited to extend their services to include additional delivery hours and tree removal services after the holidays are over!

"The holidays are supposed to be a time of joy and celebration," said Louis. "We want to give our neighbors the opportunity to not only have a great tree to display in their homes, but also share the feeling of supporting our local farmers." This season, the brother's will be expanding the NYCTREES Cares Campaign. NYCTREES will be giving away 25 trees to individuals and families starting December 1st. Nominations for those in need should be sent to [email protected].

It's never been easier to bring the spirit of the season home: The brothers also feature their trees and hand-crafted wreaths at their NYCTREES seasonal markets on the Upper East Side at Molly Pitcher's Ale House - 85th St & 2nd Ave, the Upper West Side at Elizabeth's Neighborhood Table - 93rd St & Columbus Ave, Astoria, Queens across from Mt. Sinai Hospital - 30th Ave & 27th St, Long Island City, Queens at LIC Flea & Food - 46th Ave & 5th St, and in Woodside, Queens at the Big 6 Towers - 60-10 Queens Blvd.

Harold, a public school teacher at Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science and Engineering in Morningside Heights, teaches health and physical education, and works with the school's Garden Coordinator to hold farm-to-table lessons on preparing and eating healthy produce. Louis founded Garden State Home, a local nonprofit that partners with farmers to provide homeless youth with Supportive Housing and entrepreneurial opportunities working on small family farms and at various farmers' markets throughout the state.

June through October, the brothers provide access to farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers from their family farm to neighborhoods across the city. With four successful seasonal farm-to-table markets, they sell directly to the community and work with restaurants to incorporate local produce into their menu. Drawing from their vast experience, NYCTREES.COM was the logical next step in providing premium Fraser Firs to New Yorkers, while supporting local tree farms.
