Dr. Lish is a general practice dentist who has been in private practice since 1995. Located in Brooklyn, New York, he specializes in family practice, offering all phases of dentistry, to include the placement and restoration of dental implants. Working with patients of all ages, making each patient feel comfortable and relaxed while in his care is always a priority. Also serving as the director of division dentistry at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in NYC since 2000 and his schedule is always full. But one thing is certain - his passion for what he does is unwavering.
Taking his dedication for dental care a step further in 2003, Dr. Lish created Dr. Molar Magic, a clown character, during a dental school outreach program. A semiprofessional magician, Dr. Lish was able to combine his talents to educate people on the benefits of good oral health. Two years later, he founded the Dr. Molar Magic Foundation, a not-for-profit 501 (c) education foundation that uses performance skills to teach people about oral health, while also making them smile. The Dr. Molar Magic Show, ToothZone games, and Clown Dr. Rounds are all programs that are offered at area schools and health fairs, as well as three off Broadway Circus Productions.
Completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and DDS at New York University, Dr. Lish later became certified in dental and oral surgery through Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. While working toward his DDS, Dr. Lish was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor fraternity. Since forming his private practice, he completed an implant MaxiCourse before spending some time as a clinical assistant professor at New York University College of Dentistry from 1996 to 1998. From there, he served as a program director for the general practice program at Brookdale University Hospital Center in Brooklyn, from 1998 to 2000, before becoming the director for the division of dentistry at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.
Serving on the board of directors for the Hebrew Educational Society from 1998 to 2003 and founding the Dr. Molar Magic Foundation since 2005, Dr. Lish also served as the publisher for the Magic Builder's Monthly for several years. A member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, member and former secretary/treasurer of the American Society of Dentistry for Children, and member and former assembly president of the Society of American Magicians, he has been named to several editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders. Married to Michelle Rosenblum-Lish since 1993, he has two children.
