/24-7PressRelease/ -- Twenty two "Contractor of the Year" (CotY) Awards were presented by the Bucks Mont Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) during "The Evening of Excellence." The presentation took place at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville on January 23, 2009.
Participation in this year's event exceeded previous years. There were 44 entries submitted. Contractors from all over the Bucks and Montgomery Counties submitted entries that were judged by members of the Central Jersey chapter.
Most projects submitted for judging were an improvement or an addition to an existing structure. New construction projects were not eligible. Competing projects must have been completed between July 1, 2007 and November 30, 2008. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Entrant's prepared before and after photography and project descriptions.
To be considered for a CotY Award, a company must be a NARI member in good standing. NARI members represent an elite group of the approximately 800,000 companies and individuals in the U.S. identifying themselves as remodelers.
The CotY 2009 Winners were: McHale Kitchen & Bath, Levittown, Superior Woodcraft, Doylestown, Harth Builders, Spring House, Wes Carver Electric, Telford, Creative Contracting, North Wales, Victor Brubaker, Philadephia, Custom Craft Contractors, Lansdale, Gehman Custom Remodeling, Harleysville, Gemmi Construction, Buckingham, Doylestown Building & Remodeling, Doylestown, Stone-Glidden, Doylestown, Haines Contracting, Doylestown, LJS Builders, Pennsburg, R&R Morano, Perkasie, Brett King Builders, Quakertown, J. The Evening Excellence is widely considered the premier event of the year in the remodeling industry.
