Built Rite Continues Growth and Expansion in 2014

Plant expansion includes new manufacturing and office space.

LANCASTER, MA, February 10, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Built-Rite Tool and Die has recently announced continued expansion and renovations to their manufacturing facility in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Built-Rite, a custom mold making and design firm in Lancaster, and its molding divisions, Reliance Engineering and LSR Engineering, said the expansion includes new office areas, expanded shipping and receiving area and a new manufacturing space for a Clean Room.

In addition to the plant improvements, the company has also purchased two new injection molding machines and 2 new compression molding machines. "By offering advanced secondary machining of molded plastic parts and product assembly we're able to offer custom, cost effective solutions to our customers," said Reliance Engineering Vice President Andy Samoiloff.

These additions and enhancements come on the heels of a 7500 square foot expansion to its 17,900 square-foot mold making manufacturing facility in 2012. This included a dedicated space for secondary machining of molded plastic parts, a product assembly area and a clean room assembly area.

"At Built-Rite Tool & Die and its molding divisions, Reliance Engineering and LSR Engineering, we serve a variety of industries ranging from aerospace to biotechnology to medical devices. In each instance, we provide a highly engineered customized solution for our customers. We see excellent growth prospects not only in the USA but internationally as well, especially in Asian markets where we already have customers and sales," said Built-Rite Tool & Die President Craig Bovaird. "Companywide sales were up over 12% in 2013 and we expect the recent pace of growth to continue," Bovaird said.

Since 1984, Built-Rite has provided highly engineered products such as tools, dies, and molds for original equipment manufacturers. Built-Rite is the parent company of an integrated plastics technology group that includes Reliance Engineering and LSR Engineering. Built-Rite, in conjunction with its other divisions, provides conventional injection molding, as well as more advanced manufacturing operations using compression molding and transfer molding of high temperature thermoset materials and specialized custom molding of liquid silicone rubber. "Strategically, these investments create a unique and very diverse offering to our growing medical, defense and high reliability electronics customers." says Bovaird.
