She will focus on building relationships and partnerships with travel industry suppliers, online travel agencies, content providers and other business travel solutions providers where the addition of ExpertFlyer's unique content increases the value of the consumer service offering currently provided by the partner. Ms. Lee's appointment as VP of Business Development will be effective immediately.
Ms. Lee brings many years of business development experience including several years as Director of Business Development Travel & Leisure at British Telecommunications (BT) in North America where she led proposition development and implementation for the sector in the areas of mobility and Wi-Fi, message management and electronic ticketing. In addition, Ms. Lee directed the successful launch of a Managed Service for Mobility and Wireless, targeting the hospitality and travel industries for BT. In 2000, Meeting News magazine selected Ms. Lee as one of the top 25 most influential people in the meeting industry.
Prior to BT, Lee co-founded Vayya, Inc., a consulting and web services strategic planning organization, focusing on application development for the insurance and travel industries. She was also Founder, Chairman & CEO of b-there, Inc. where she developed and designed the ARM (Attendee Relationship Management) enterprise level application, generally considered the first real-time online registration and housing management system. b-there, Inc., is also credited with developing the first real-time online registration and housing management system for the meetings/conventions and trade show industries.
