This new release of the Organice Solution Accelerator includes new features and enhancements in the Site Provisioning Tool.
The Organice Solution Accelerator accelerates the engineering document management implementation by automatically deploying the necessary SharePoint and Organice settings and tools. A Site Provisioning Tool helps project managers to easily create new project sites, without the need to involve SharePoint experts. The included site templates are based on best practices and provide an efficient project environment to manage project documents and collaborate with project partners. In addition to the implementation accelerator, the Organice Solution Accelerator includes valuable additional functionality to enhance the SharePoint document management solution, like Document Numbering, Rule Based Item Security and preparation for Cross Document Library Reporting.
In release 2008 R3, the Site Provisioning Tool of the Organice Solution Accelerator includes new features and functionalities. One of the new features is the possibility to send an email notification to a primary and secondary contact when a new site collection has been created. This e-mail notification can for instance be send to a Site Administrator or a Project Manager, so they know the site collection has been created and they can make arrangements to further configure the site, users, permissions, etc. In addition they can notify the users that the new site collection is available and that they can start managing their documents.
The Organice Solution Accelerator is very beneficial to companies that would like to accelerate their SharePoint based engineering document management implementation and want to benefit from best practices to setup their engineering document management environment.
The Organice Solution Accelerator 2008 R3 is available to customers from December 2009.
