/24-7PressRelease/ - SOUTH MIAMI, FL, March 03, 2008 - Dogsforwomen.com is embarking on a mission to gather first-hand information about different dog breeds from - who else - the every day people who live and care for these breeds. What are the pluses and minuses, rewards and risks of living with that breed? The goal of http://www.dogsforwomen.com is to give others who are shopping for a new dog a sense of how much work and care goes into raising a certain breed. We want to help match the right dogs to the right owners, and visa versa. Other web sites give plenty of information about what the professionals say about different breeds, but there's nothing more helpful than learning from the testimonial and experience of an every day dog owner. And by the way, different dog owners might have very different experiences with the same breed so we welcome and will publish multiple perspectives on the same breed.
Here's what we need to publish your dogs story: 1) A photo of your dog (yes, you can be in it too), a jpg file is best, 2) We need you to fill out the "Doggie Data" survey about your dog (see the word document at the bottom of the home page), 3) Write 1000 words or less about your dog. Keep in mind that you should address in the body of your copy what you mean by "other" if you checked it for any category in the Doggie Data survey. This is your moment for you and Fido to shine. You're the story teller, so have fun. Just keep in mind that our goal is to share information about your life with your dog that will be useful to others considering a dog like yours.
Dogsforwomen.com is a new website created especially for women:
• To help women make informed choices when shopping for a dog to suit their lifestyle,
• Continue to make good choices about socialization, training, nutrition, etc. after they bring the new pup home,
• Give women who must give up their dog a venue to find another female to adopt their pet (and visa versa),
• Give women a site to share photos and stories about their dogs, and perhaps win a contest or two along the way.
Content for the website is updated bi-monthly and includes recommended reading for dog owners and potential future dog owners. The website welcomes comments and photos from dog owners and will only publish once written permission has been obtained. The site does not pay for content. Dogsforwomen.com is actively seeking individuals and businesses that want to reach this targeted market with products and services. The site welcomes the opportunity to link with animal shelters, veterinarians, newspapers and other organizations that have dogs available for adoption to women.
