/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Derron M. Forrest, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Planet Stunt, LLC, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in Athlete Training. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.
Mr. Forrest began his career in cheerleading 20 years ago, prompted by a fascination with the sport that began while he was in college. In 2005, he established Planet Stunt, an athlete training company that offers physical and stunt training, choreography and competition preparation for cheerleaders. An expert in choreography and stunt development, he is in charge of organizing meetings with coaches and school administrators, working with clients, and training teams in cheerleading, stunts and gymnastics. Particularly proud of his customer service skills, Mr. Forrest is instrumental in Planet Stunt's 95 percent retention rate of clientele. He is also an experienced public speaker who enjoys great success hosting sporting events and competitions, heading camps, training instructors both regionally and nationally, and conducting seminars about new trends in cheerleading. Mr. Forrest considers being able to make an impact on the lives of children and young adults to be the most gratifying aspect of his career. He attributes his success to God, his parents, and his networking, people management and customer relations skills.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Mr. Forrest received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology in 1995. He is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors and Delta Chi. Recognitions with which he was honored include a Veteran of the Year Award for the Northeast Region of the Universal Cheerleaders Association in 2000 and a Homecoming King Award from the University of Connecticut in 1991. In five years, Mr. Forrest aspires to turn his small cheerleading company into an industry-leading large cheerleading company.
