Kwisnek, RN, MSN, LNC, CCHP, a correctional health care administrator for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at Greensburg has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in correctional healthcare. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Kwisnek's role as a correctional health care administrator is to provide registered nursing skills to a 900-person prison population. As a certified correctional health professional, she plays an important role in public health while working within strict security regulations and understanding the complex legal and public health considerations of providing care to incarcerated populations. Kwisnek also works to build rapport and work collaboratively in this fast-paced, demanding environment. Kwisnek has 30 years of nursing experience, 19 years of experience in the field of corrections and six years of experience as a legal nurse consultant.

Kwisnek received her masters degree in nursing from Indiana University in 1995. A member of the American Correctional Association, the National Commission on Correctional Health and Sigma Theta Tau, she spoke at Sigma Theta Tau's Spring Induction and contributed to the Journal of Correctional Health Care.
