WARWICK, NY, March 13, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Sara de Maine Kearns, a retired flight attendant and personal assistant to the owner of Leucadia National Corporation, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Travel Services. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Ms. Kearns has 45 years of professional experience spanning multiple disciplines. In the course of her colorful career, she worked as a flight attendant, personal assistant, teacher, caterer, art collector, life coach, and wife of a war correspondent for CBS News. She held her previous position, that of flight attendant and personal assistant at the corporate aviation company Leucadia National Corporation for 11 years, during which stint she acquired an expertise in passenger assistance. She considers life coaching to be especially rewarding work, as it allows her to help people make life decisions and gain the confidence to make a change. Honored by West Virginia University, Ms. Kearns attributes the success that she has enjoyed in numerous fields to her inquisitiveness and enthusiasm.

Previously, Ms. Kearns managed a bed and breakfast in New York City. She also worked as an interior designer and as a headmaster of a household management school. An authority on various subjects, she was invited to speak publicly at Stanford University and Goshen Middle School. Ms. Kearns is currently focusing her energies on the travel industry and the art world. She is affiliated with the United States Tennis Association.
