Cambridge Who's Who Names Sherri R. Adkins Professional of the Year in Government Administration

Adkins, Executive Director of Canton Housing Authority, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Government Administration. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Ms. Adkins brings 16 years of experience in government administration to her role as the executive director of the Canton Housing Authority, a public agency that provides affordable housing for families, the elderly and those with disabilities. Her position entails overseeing finances and HUD reporting requirements, as well as new policies and contractors. She also negotiates contracts, handles lease violations and evictions, and manages maintenance contracts. Ms. Adkins has served in this capacity for the past six years.

Ms. Adkins earned an associate degree in computer programming from Texas A&M University and became a certified programming technician in 2001. She is a current member of the Canton Chamber of Commerce and a former board member of The Salvation Army, as well as the former president elect of the local chapter of Kiwanis International.
