Pearson, Middle School Counselor for Robin Mickle Middle School has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Middle School Counseling. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Pearson has been in the field of education for 38 years. He retired from the Iowa school system at 55 years of age and started a second career as a counselor and music teacher for Lincoln Public Schools because of his love of teaching children. As Pearson puts it, "Bringing a child who is way below average up to speed through the use of music is one of my greatest career achievements." Pearson excels in utilizing music therapy with students to help them transition from fifth to sixth grade and from eighth to ninth grade. Lincoln Public Schools is a first-class, family-friendly school district in the heart of the Midwest.

Pearson received his Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Northwest Missouri State University in 1986 and his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from James Madison University in 1969. He is an active member of the National Education Association, Nebraska State Education Association and the American Counseling Association. He is also a life member of the Sigma Alpha Music Fraternity.
