She embarks this weekend on the remaining 37 cities, punctuated by appearances at prestigious blues festivals including Washington DC, Baltimore, and Hudson River Blues and BBQ fest in the Big Apple. After these US dates, Kane who tours relentlessly will be returning to Europe where she performs to sold-out audiences.
Recorded entirely in Kane's second hometown Austin, Texas, White Trash Girl is garnering rave reviews in this month's issue of Blues Revue and Downbeat magazines. In September her image will grace the cover of Southwest Blues Magazine.
The CD is #13 on the Living Blues Chart and is nominated for Best Blues Album at the San Diego Music Awards. It has been getting extensive airplay, especially on XM radio, and will be featured on the world caf on September 6th in Philadelphia. http://www.worldcafe.org
2005 has been a busy year for Candye starting off with a three month tour of Europe called "The Blues Caravan." The BC tour featured Kane along with Ruf Records label mates, Ana Popovic and Sue Foley.
