/24-7PressRelease/ -- Southwest Florida's foremost leader in home building and real estate solutions, The Aubuchon Team of Companies, hosted their 11th annual Helping Hands for the Holidays event at Cape Coral Home Builder Company headquarters, on Monday, November 23. Nearly 300 people attended the event and were entertained by Evangelical Christian School students as well as "The Nabbies," a Cape Coral group of talented youth singers and dancers.
The event was held to benefit local chapters of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida and Builders Care of Lee County, a non-profit division of the Lee Building Industry Association. The event raised more than $10,000 which also included a raffle at the event, and a Texas Hold'em poker tournament at The Joint the previous week.
Testimonials were heard from several folks who have benefited from these organizations. Brooke Einstein, the daughter of Justin Einstein, a Team Aubuchon employee, was born with a defective heart, and was recently granted her wish to go to Disney World by the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Eddie Whitmore, a Lee County Sheriff, told of his stay at The Ronald McDonald House while his prematurely-born twin sons were being treated at Healthpark Regional Medical Center.
Food was donated by Aubuchon business partners, team members, and local restaurants including Wine & Roses, Bubba's Roadhouse, The Joint, and Geo's Italian Restaurant. It also featured a Christmas tree lighting and a special appearance by Santa and Mrs Claus. Says Diane VanArsdale, Director of Marketing and Sales for Team Aubuchon, "The event was a great success and we appreciate the support of our sub-contractors, customers, business associates, and all those who attended! We are proud that so many folks look forward to this Holiday kickoff event."
