SILVERWATER, AUSTRALIA, September 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Capital Safety, home of the world-renowned DBI-SALA and PROTECTA brands, has announced the release of their updated Inspection & Maintenance of fall protection equipment poster.

Last year, as part of its commitment to worker safety, Capital Safety introduced a range of free educational fall protection posters aimed at assisting users in working safely at height. Due to recent changes to the AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 standard, Capital Safety has updated their Inspection & Maintenance poster to incorporate these amendments. This standard covers the selection, use & maintenance of industrial fall arrest systems and devices.

The main changes in both the standard and the poster encompass inspection periods on a variety of fall protection equipment, and levels of competency. To order your free replacement Inspection & Maintenance of fall protection equipment poster(s) simply send an email to sales@capitalsafety.com.au stating your requirements, or contact our Customer Service Team.

Capital Safety's full colour fall protection poster range is provided free of charge (within Australia and New Zealand) and covers some of the key aspects of fall protection, such as; equipment inspection and maintenance, fall clearances, harness inspection and fitting, as well as terminology and an explanation of the A, B, C, D of fall protection. The posters are ideal for use in crib rooms, site offices, training areas and retail outlets, or anywhere that fall protection and height safety are a concern. The posters provide a continuous and practical reminder of how to work safely at height.

Order forms can be obtained by contacting Capital Safety, or by visiting their website and clicking on the resources tab. The posters are not intended to replace competent training in fall protection and/or the use of fall protection equipment, but rather serve as a guide and reference point.
