He has worked with the industry's leading landlords and retailers including Simon, GGP, Westfield, Taubman, Vornado, Crown Acquisitions, and retailers like Apple, Victoria's Secret, Gap, J. Crew, Regal Cinema, and Starbucks.

Prior to opening his own firm, Jason D. Richter worked in-house on the corporate side serving as head of Real Estate, Construction and Facilities for some of the nation's leading retail brands. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Real Estate for private equity firm, E&J Lawrence, which owns the Jimmy Jazz, S & D Underground, Man Alive, Hyperactive, and Decibel retail chains. His role there included oversight of a 200-store portfolio and asset management for over one million square feet of urban retail and shopping centers. He also spent six years, until 2009, as the senior leasing manager for Thor Equities, a New York based developer who owns and manages a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio consisting of retail, office, hotel, and mixed-use assets throughout the United States and abroad. Responsible for their New York City retail holdings, he was also an integral part of their leasing, refinancing, acquisition, and disposition activities throughout Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Texas, and California.
Jason D. Richter has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 2003 and is recognized by them with CLS and CRX designations for his expertise as a retail executive. Jason D. Richter's leadership in New York retail is further substantiated with a seat on the New York Conference and Deal Making Planning Committee since 2005 and as a past State Director for New York and Northern New Jersey from 2011-2014. On the national level, he was elected to the RECon Advisory Committee in 2013 where he assisted in planning Retail Real Estate's largest global conference. He was also recognized as a recipient of Chain Store Age's Real Estate 10 Under 40 award.
Jason D. Richter holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Computer Information Systems from Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business. He's also a board member of several charitable organizations and has worked alongside the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as a top 5 fundraiser over the last 13 years.
