SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 07, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marlow Group Inc., a career navigation platform based in San Francisco, announced the launch of Marlow Digital Coaching. Marlow's technology is enabling executive style career coaching via chat for high achievers who are ready to take the lead on their career trajectory.
The company made the announcement on their blog this morning. "We are thrilled to announce the launch of Marlow Digital Coaching. Through activities, content and online chat discussions, our coaches help Marlow members identify what they want in their career and then create an actionable plan to make progress quickly."
Founders, Mary Fox and Chelsea Seid, started the company earlier this year in response to the ever-growing problem around employee happiness. According to Gallup polls, more than 70% of people are considered unhappy or unengaged in their job. This statistic has not changed in over 17 years and the founders became frustrated with outdated solutions.
"We've witnessed first-hand the expensive efforts companies take to increase employee engagement. These efforts often fall short, as they focus on the company rather than the individual. We noticed that managers and executives are offered coaching as a resource, but entry and mid-level professionals are often left to fend for themselves," said Marlow co-founder and CEO, Mary Fox.
The company wants to democratize career coaching by putting this valuable resource in the hands of professionals all over the world who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. For now, a monthly membership is just $125 (compared to career coaching averages of between $100 and $500 per hour). Many companies have been willing to reimburse this expense as part of their professional development budget.
Marlow also offers online events, workshops and unlimited resume advice for their members. "Most of our members are fully employed and planning to stay with their company. But in the event that they decide to switch jobs, we're definitely here to guide them through that process."
The company announced that their Digital Coaching product has been in beta since July of this year and the founders said that these members played a vital role in shaping the product. "Four months is a short time to turn an idea into a real product. Our 70+ beta digital coaching members played a huge role in getting us to where we are today. We couldn't have done it without them," said Marlow co-founder and COO, Chelsea Seid.
Marlow's approach to coaching is unique compared to available resources on the market. "Because the entire coaching process is online, we are able to offer real-time feedback. For example, when a member has an unexpected opportunity or obstacle at work, we're able to help them prep for the next day or the next week," said Fox.
Marlow Digital Coaching empowers members to take control of their own happiness by helping them figure out what they want and then offering them the resource and guidance to turn that goal into reality. Sometimes this includes activities around communication or self-awareness, other times they focus on skill acquisition or network development.
Marlow is ideal for professionals who are looking to become a higher performer, get promoted or design an entirely new career path that makes them happier. "Everyone has a different definition of success and our process helps all of our members make progress toward figuring out what their own definition is and then turning that dream into an actionable goal."
